Class 11 Blog

Welcome to class 11!

In this blog you will see a snippet of what we have been up to and experienced in class!

The Giant's Necklace

We read the Giant's Necklace by Michael Morpurgo. We wrote postcards from Cherry and then painted seascapes of the Zennor coastline.
Class 11 have been looking at the silent movie 'Paperman' and have seen stacking super sentences to write a narrative!

Brilliant Biologists!

This term, class 11 have been learning about the circulatory system. We have made our own blood, modelled a heart and have learnt all about the effect of exercise on our heart rate. Take a look at our wonderful work!

'The Peculiars'

In English, we have been reading 'The Peculiars' and 'Wild Boy'. We have made links between the texts and The Greatest Showman, they were all set in Victorian times and are about people with 'peculiarities'.

A visit to the circus!

As part of our topic on the Victorians and our writing based around Victorian sideshows, we put our skills to the test in a circus workshop with Lucas Jet.

William Morris

Year 6 have been looking at the artist, William Morris as part of the Victorian topic. We looked at his designs and then re created our own picture in his style.

Anti-bullying week 16th- 22nd November 2020

The theme for Anti-bullying week is ‘United against bullying’. We linked our conversations around bullying to our recent work on ‘The Greatest Show’ and celebrating and embracing who we are and celebrating our differences. Take a look at the amazing poetry we created!
