Woodlands Camp

We have had the most amazing time at Woodlands Camp on Friday and Monday! The sun shone and everyone got muddy and drenched in water! All children were a huge credit to the school! Some of us conquered our fears by climbing the zip line tower and whizzing down over the lake or getting into a canoe and playing lots of wet games!!

Take a look at the photographs and a couple of video clips from the two days.

James and the Giant Peach

We have started reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. This is a very challenging book about a small lonely boy called James, his horrible Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker and an amazing peach.

Have you ever tasted a peach?

What do they look like?

Where do they come from?

Can you think of any delicious recipes that have peaches as an ingredient?

Roald Dahl Challenge

Over summer term we are focusing on the author Roald Dahl. As you know we have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the past few weeks.

What is your favourite Roald Dahl book?

Over the half term holiday try to read one of his books and write/draw a picture or create something about the story.

Class 11 are looking at plants and soil in Science. They went to plant some new plants and discovered some potatoes! The children got stuck in digging up these potatoes and were finding snails, worms and other creatures.

Cadbury World

Class 11 had the most amazing time at Cadbury World. Children experienced how chocolate is made, packaged and marketed as well as learning about the history of chocolate. The smell around the factory was incredible. Take a look at our photographs below to see how much fun was had!

Egyptian Day

We had a fantastic day dressed up as Ancient Egyptians! We met an explorer who told us lots of very interesting (and disgusting) information about the egyptians. Throughout the day we experienced playing egyptian games, measuring and mummification of the Pharoah! take a look at some of our photographs below.
