Class Information

Every day, you should be bringing:

  • Your homework diary (signed for Monday)
  • Your reading book
  • Any homework completed
  • P.E Kit

Reading at home...

Although reading may sometimes be set as homework, we encourage you all to read as much as possible at home. The BEST way to read is aloud to someone else, so that you can discuss what you have read after too. no

Please remember to bring your reading book to school every day.

This is year 6! Homework is expected to be done ON TIME and presented in the same way you present your work at school. It should be completed in your homework books, unless you've been told otherwise.

If there is a reason it has not been completed, please bring a signed note in your diary.

Homework should not take hours and hours! Find yourself a quiet space and focus- it will get done much quicker this way! Discussing your work with a friend or family member is absolutely fine and often a great way of understanding even more! smiley

Homework will be given out on a Friday and a Tuesday. Diaries should be signed each week by somebody at home.

Spellings will be given out each week on a Friday and the spelling test will take place on the following Thursday. Don't try and cram your learning into the night before! 10 minutes each night would be a much more effective way to make sure you really know your spellings. Think of the different ways of learning spellings we have looked at in class.

This term, we have an indoor P.E session on a Monday afternoon and an outside games lesson on a Friday afternoon. Please make sure you bring a jumper or hoody and some tracksuit bottoms for the outdoor session as Winter is creeping in!

As you may know, there are often different events happening in school, so it is best to keep your kits in school all week, just in case!
