This half term we have been studying The Ice Palace in our English lessons.
We have really enjoyed reading the story and learning about the language devices used to create vivid descriptions of both settings and characters.
During the topic, we have learned to use powerful adjectives and verbs as well as speech and similes. Our most recent project has included mapping our the significant events in the story and using its structure to create our very own story set in an imaginary winter world.
In maths this half term we have been developing a range of skills and working in pairs and groups to solve problems. We have currently been learning to multiply using a written method, find fractions of amounts and we are now moving on to geometry!
