Would you like to live in the topsy turvy world of the Twits? Perhaps you'd like to live in Matilda's magical world? Could you handle George's grumpy old Grandma or would you help him to create a mysterious marvellous medicine?
Our essential question this term is:
What would it be like to live in a Roald Dahl world?
We will be exploring some different stories to help us to think about this question :)
Don't forget to get planning your outfits for our Dahlicious Dress up day on Friday 25th September!
Reminders for Class 3S!
- Make sure your P.E kit is in school every day. Our timetabled slot for outdoor games is Monday afternoon. Please bring tracksuit bottoms and a jumper for days when the weather is cooler.
- You should bring your reading book and reading record into school every day. You may be asked to read with an adult or change your books during the day.
- You are expected to read for 10-15 minutes every evening as part of your homework. This can include your library book if you have completed your reading book and it has not yet been changed. (We ask parents to support us by signing your child's reading record to indicate that this is being done. Thank you in advance! )
Miss Sheehy's Literacy Group
Every Friday, a set of 10 spellings will be given out in our Literacy lessons. As your homework, you are expected to write each of these words in an interesting sentence. This should be completed in your purple spelling books. You may also use these books to practise your spellings in any way you find helpful.
You will be tested on these spellings during Wednesday's literacy lesson. Your purple books also need to be handed in on Wednesday's lesson so that we can prepare your next set of spellings.
