Science

This half term we have been looking at plants in more detail.

We have learnt about the different part of a plant and their functions and investigated what happens to plants when they are grown in different conditions, for example, no water, no light and different temperatures.

We have also looked at the function of the roots of a plant in more detail.  The class has learnt how water is transported around a plant we have experimented with celery, white flowers and food colouring to test our theory.

The class added food colouring to water and watched what happened to the colour a stick of celery and some flowers.  Can you try this experiment at home?
