World War II


Welcome to the world of an evacuee. Find out what life was like on the home front for children growing up in war torn Britain.  Learn about the causes, effects and consequences of the war.  Find out about; the Blitz, major conflicts, cracking codes and rationing of food and clothing.  The Holocaust is sensitively approached using the Diary of Anne Frank and Rose Blanche.  In literacy, a range of stories are used to educate and inform children about the life of an evacuee.


The Wow Factor!

  • Visit to RAF Cosford where the children experience “an air raid”, visit a WWII classroom, immerse themselves in genuine artefacts, meet  WWII Veteran and see WWII aircraft in the hangar.


Shakespeare’s World


Step back in time to the “Terrible Tudors”.  Find out about Elizabeth I (an important leader).  Discover how rich and poor people lived in this time.  Take a peek at the exciting journeys and discoveries of Tudor explorers.  Re-live Elizabethan England – and of course, learn about William Shakespeare – his life and works.  We end our historical journey, in Stuart England, with plague and fire!


The Wow Factor!


  • Participate in a Shakespearian play, Macbeth when actors from Shakespeare 4 Kidz visit school for a day.
