Anti Bullying

All Different All Equal

Our anti bullying week this year began with "Wear Odd Socks" to school day. This was to raise the awareness that everyone in our school is unique and that this diversity should be valued and celebrated by the whole school community. The children were asked to donate £1 for the Anti- Bullying Alliance and in return were given an orange "All Different All Equal" wrist band to wear in school.

Throughout the week the children have been taking part in different activities within their classroom that are designed to help them recognise and deal with any rude, mean or bullying behaviours. There will be a presentation of some of their ideas in a special assembly for parents.

A whole school assembly was held to introduce this year's theme All Different All Equal. Please follow the link to access the slide that were shared with the children.

Odd Socks Day

Anti Bullying Week #PowerForGood

Our hardworking pupils shared their inspired projects with parents during our first ever  Anti Bullying Workshop.  Drama, agony aunt style letters, dance and poetry all helped to send a clear message that  Alumwell Junior School  intends to 'Stamp Out' bullying for good!

Well done to all our pupils and a huge thank you to our families as we also managed to raise £295.58 for the Anti Bullying Alliance.

Celebrating Our Differences

An assembly was held to introduce how differences should be celebrated and how love and caring should be at the heart of family life.  Children were reminded that using rude, mean or bullying language towards families is unacceptable.
