If your child needs extra help at school you can make an appointment with our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Mrs Laura Timmins in the following ways;

• Come into the school office

At your appointment Mrs Timmins will discuss any concerns you have and go through suitable options to help including;

• Meeting with class teacher to gather further information
• Talk with your child to gather their views on what they are having difficulty with
• Complete observations
• Complete some additional assessments with your child to work out what additional help may be needed
• Set some short-term targets with the class teacher, yourselves and your child and make a date when these can be reviewed
• Signpost to other members of our inclusion team for further support i.e. Lana Tolley our Social Mentor and Play Therapist or Carol Holmes our Family Support Worker
• Signpost or refer into relevant health agencies such as GP, School Nursing, Occupational Therapy etc where a health concern is raised

If your concern is around the Social, Emotional and Mental Health of your child you can make an appointment with Lana Tolley our Social Mentor through the same channels listed above. During your appointment Lana will listen to your concerns and discuss next steps in supporting your child.
