• Beacon Centre for the Blind £162

  This week we have been learning all about sight loss. We had a special assembly hosted by Beacon Centre for the Blind. They explained all about how they support people with sight loss and the things we can do in school to make people's lives easer. We have all dressed in our brightest clothes to raise money for Beacon Centre and we have raised a fantastic £162, well done Alumwell!

• School Closure Thursday 26th & Friday 27th September

  Dear Parents and Carers,

   

  Many of you will be aware that over the weekend the school was flooded.  This has affected Class 9, several offices, corridors, and our reception area. We have so far managed to keep school open by closing these areas and using alternative spaces.

   

  We have been advised that we cannot remain open during the next stage of the clean up programme and we will unfortunately have to close the school on Thursday 26^th and Friday 27^th September to all year groups.

   

  We can only apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause and we can assure you that this closure is out of our hands and is needed in the best interest of the health and safety of our pupils.

   

  We will monitor the clean up process closely, and we will be in touch on Friday to confirm reopening on Monday 30^thSeptember.

• Sports Week

  Dear Parents and Carers,

   

  A reminder that it's Sports Day on Monday 24^th June,  9am Years 5 and 6 and 1:30pm Years 3 and 4. You are all welcome to come and support.

   

  Sports Day marks the start of our Sports Week, where children will participate in various sports throughout the week. 

   

  On Sports Day children should attend school wearing their PE kits.

   

  PE kits or sports clothes can be worn for the rest of the week.
