Welcome to Alumwell Junior School

We are very proud of Alumwell Junior School and its place in the local community.  Alumwell is a very special place to come to school and work. Our school motto is:

‘Excellence and Enjoyment for Everyone'

and this applies to our pupils, staff, parents, governors and dogs.

We place a strong emphasis on challenging and supporting every pupil to achieve excellence. We place equal importance on safeguarding and caring for the welfare of your children.

In 2023 Ofsted visited our school and described us as a good school. 'Pupils enjoy coming to this friendly and happy school.  Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum for all pupils, and this enables them to achieve well.' Ofsted report June 2023

We pride ourselves in being able to offer a wide range of extra curricular activities including boys and girls football, baking, running, multisports, gardening, art and craft, STEM, board games and dance to name but a few!
 

We are also very fortunate to have our own trained School Animal Therapy dogs  Dougie and Jazzie. They are much loved members of the school community and integral to the life and harmony of the school.

Alumwell is a member of the 'Cadmus Family of Schools'.  Cadmus is a federation of local schools with a shared belief and vision - 'working together to ensure success' and to that end we share the core values of high standards and expectations. We offer broad, balanced and exciting curriculums and we work alongside our communities to unlock the potential of all pupils.

We endeavour to ensure that your child is provided with excellent opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
