Class 8 Blog
We have been looking at the key features of writing instructions and using it with our Egyptian Topic.
We followed instructions on how to Mummify a tomato. We worked in small groups and did one tomato through the mummification process and one without it. We really enjoyed doing this and we can't wait to see what happens.

Well done to our 3 amazing students who were so inspired by us preparing for our Shelter building DT week they decided to do their own at home.
We have been looking at Anti-Bullying week, we have looked at how to be a good friend or what we should do to help someone, who may be in need of help. The children used their own handprints and pledged 5 things they will do to be a good friend.
Throughout November we have been using the Bar Model method in Maths in celebrating Barvember.
Class 8 have been learning about Diwali in RE and have been learning about the importance of Rangoli Patterns too.
As part of Remembrance Day the children have been making projects at home and also making water colour poppy pictures in school. Here are a selection of those.
Some of the children in Class 8 have been making firework art to celebrate Bonfire night.
Black History Month
As part of Black History month the children have been looking at various influential Black icons and how they made an impact of what we do today including Mohammed Ali, Jesse Owens, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.
The children created pop art of Martin Luther King and created their own dream bubbles from what they would hope for the world.
In Art the children have been creating the Blitz art with watercolours and oil pastels.
