  Year 3 had a wonderful surprise morning with Santa, the Grinch and a 'reindeer' named Fudge.  Let's not forget chocolate lollies and a snow machine! And they thought it was just another assembly...

• Children in Need

  Youthquake met to decide how we could raise money for Children in Need this year and decided on a non-uniform day and a design a -t-shirt competition. They collected in entries and judged them to select a winner for each year group.

• Macmillan Coffee Morning

  We would like to say a huge 'Thank you!' to all our children and parents for your support in helping us raise a magnificent £420 for Macmillan Cancer Relief!

  

• Harvest Donations

  On Wednesday 12th October, our local Reverend Emily is coming to talk to the children about harvest.  

  As part of this we will be collecting donations of tinned and packet food for the local food bank Ablewell.

  If you would like to send any donations, please send them with your child by Friday 14th October.

• September Arrangements

  School reopens to all children on Wednesday 7th September

   

  Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils should arrive at by 8:50 (gate opens at 8:40) 

   

  Year 3 Pupils

   

  • On the first day back, we would like the Year 3 children to arrive at school for 9:15. We ask that you bring your children onto the playground and wait with them until they are greeted by their class teacher and taken in to school.
  • If you have older children at our school, it is fine for them to arrive with you at 9:15 on day one
  • At the end of the day  children will walk out to the bottom gate and will not be allowed to leave the playground until their class teacher can see you.
  • On the second day, your children will need to arrive at school between 8:40am and 8:50am.

   

  From September, we will no longer need to stagger children entering and leaving school. This means our school day for all pupils will look like this:

   

  • Playground gates are unlocked at 8:40 am, pupils walk directly to class
  • Morning session: 8:50 am – 12:30pm
  • Afternoon session: 1:25pm – 3:15pm
  • At the end of the day, children are escorted onto the playground, Y3 will leave through the bottom gate and Y4, Y5 and Y6 through the top gate.

  All pupils break up for the summer on Thursday 21st July at 2:00pm.

   

  We would like to wish all our families and friends a fabulous break - we will see you all back at school on Wednesday 7th September!

  Congratulations to Alumwell's Year 5 and Year 6 Boys Football Team who won their match against Delves Junior School in the Walsall School's final.  The score was 2-1. Alumwell is now the proud keeper of the Walsall School's Football Shield!
