The School Day
From September, following government guidance, we are hoping that we will no longer need to stagger children entering and leaving school. This means our school day will look like this:
Yours sincerely,

Alumwell Junior School Festival
Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been a school year like no other and we would like to say a huge well done to our wonderful children for how well they have adapted and coped with all the changes that have taken place in school, this year, due to the pandemic. The energy, resilience and determination they have shown has been remarkable. We are immensely proud of every single one of them, as we are sure you are too.
To celebrate reaching end of this difficult year we are hosting a festival on Monday 19th July on our school field as a treat for all our children. There will be bouncy castles, ice cream, face paint, music and dancing!
There will be no charge for this event and children are free to attend in non uniform, they will need socks for the bouncy castles (we have an assault course, gladiator duel and a bungee run), suncream and a hat if weather is hot and a water bottle.
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Boam and Mrs Upton
If your child is eligible for free school meals Walsall Council will be sending you a postcard through the post with a code on where you can register for a Healthy Meal Kit and access to free activities over the Easter break.
Healthy food kits will include ingredients to cook 4 healthy meals, recipe cards and an opportunity to attend an online cookery session.
Easter activities will be accessed online and will help to beat boredom over the Easter break.
Keep an eye out for your postcard and register as soon as possible.
Due to the current weather conditions plus the forecast of further snow and a drop in overnight temperatures we have made the decision to close the school to all pupils on Monday 25th January.
Pupils can still access online learning via Google Classroom and Purple Mash.
Thank you for your support
School will restart on Wednesday 6th January for vulnerable and critical worker children only. For more details please see the Letters Home section under News and Events.
To our Alumwell family,
On behalf of School Council, we want to say a big thankyou to everyone who has taken part or donated over the last few weeks. With the massive amount of money we raised we have bought, wrapped and donated 33 fantastic, spectacular presents! We have also had a lot of fun ourselves with movie afternoons, pyjama days, mini fetes and playtimes galore!
We would like to thank HSBC Walsall for their amazing donation too, this extra money helped us to make even more children really happy.
It feels so good to know that there are more children this year to wake up on Christmas morning to presents because of ALL OF US!
We hope you have an amazing Christmas and a safe New Year. We are looking forward to changing the world a little bit more next year!
Lots of love,
School Council
